Request data deletion
Last updated: 20 May 2026
You can request deletion of your Pourmetrics SpotCheck account and the personal data we hold about you at any time. This page explains how to make the request and what happens after we receive it.
How to request deletion
Email info@pourmetrics.ie from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Data deletion request".
Include in the email:
- The email address on your Pourmetrics SpotCheck account.
- The name of the venue or organisation, if known.
- Whether you want only your personal account removed, or the entire venue's data removed (relevant if you own the venue subscription).
What gets deleted
- Your account record — name, email, and authentication credentials.
- Your audit trail — spot-check entries you personally recorded are anonymised (the count remains for variance integrity, the staff name is removed).
- Owner-initiated venue deletion — if you own the venue subscription and request the entire venue be removed, we delete the products, locations, spot-check history, POS imports, and variance reports along with every team member's account.
What we have to keep
A small amount of data is retained for legal and accounting reasons even after deletion:
- Billing records — invoice history is retained for 7 years (Irish statutory requirement).
- Encrypted backups — your data may exist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days after deletion, after which the backups are destroyed.
Retained billing records consist of company name, invoice amount, and date — they do not include personal contact details beyond what is required by tax authorities.
How long it takes
We acknowledge deletion requests within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days, in line with our GDPR obligations. You'll receive an email confirmation once the deletion is complete.
